Putting the Pieces Together
When Hearst Ranch decided to sell their famous beef online, they knew that they would have to offer an easy-to-use shopping interface to their customers to compete with established Internet retailers. Most of all, it had to interoperate with offline operations already in place. ArrowQuick integrated a shopping cart into the existing website, updated the graphic design, and worked with Hearst Ranch’s payment processor and shipping provider to integrate the website services with their systems. Orders are automatically sent to their packing and shipping facilities in a daily batch.
The website offers the full line of Hearst Ranch products, all added by Hearst Ranch themselves. The website also includes general information about the ranch, which can be modified by Hearst Ranch without any assistance from ArrowQuick.
In about a year, the Hearst Ranch website has been updated for worldwide commerce and was recently opened to the public after a limited trial.
